So we have only been here for a few days and cannot know what the next months will bring but this has been my experience so far...
Just like in the US where I stand out as a Black person but among White people, here I stand out as a Black person surrounded by Korean people. I am used to people staring at me so that is not anything new (unfortunately) but what is new is that I got pointed at, 2x in one day!
Daniel and I were walking in Seoul and there were 2 women walking across the road and one of them blatantly pointed us out to the other lady. I just bust out laughing in shock and told Daniel. He waved at them and they eagerly waved back. It was clear that they weren't attempting to be mean or intimidating but more as a interesting site for them I suppose? Then when we were on the train I am pretty sure some lady took my picture next to her friend.
For now it seems like here being Black is more like a "huh, that's different" rather than me thinking that someone might have hate towards me or is fearful of me.
Let's see how it goes shall we!?!

This was something like a Red Bull but not.
So in this particular neighborhood in Seoul there were no side walks, not okay with that at all. This was like a death corner with the pole taking up walking space on that turn.
Of course Daniel was just like "whatever."
So we came here and were super confused about how we were supposed to go about eating this raw meal of meat. It turned out she cooked it at our table so yea, that was pretty cool.
