...update from NZ airport...

The 'rents along with my best friend took me to the airport yesterday at 6pm, (well kind of yesterday since here it's already the 8th and I actually left on the 6th, but I already discussed that).  I’m sitting at my last layover in New Zealand hoping to be able to get internet, and slowly but surely, I have it.  I’ve been through customs a total of 3 times so far and I think I have one more check to go.  It’s kind of annoying, like everything else when you know that you don’t have anything but they have to check anyway…

The flight from Cleveland to LAX wasn’t bad, minus the initial confusion of them switching my flight at the last second.  I think it has something to do with the plane crash in San Francisco because that is where I was originally headed.  I actually got the last seat on the LAX flight which was perfect.  It did however make it confusing when that came to me getting to LAX and my ticket saying San Fran.  It all worked out, everything has still been very timely and I’m not behind.

The couple that I sat beside on the way to LAX was really nice and apologetic for their new born son crying.  I couldn’t hear much with me having my mp3 player on for the majority of the flight.  They offered to buy me a drink “If you’re of age, you look pretty young.”  I declined but it was still sweet of them to offer.  And they also said that they always want me flying beside them, so sweet.  I enjoyed talking with them the bit that I did and we actually talked about the Bill Bryson book some J  They apparently went to New Zealand for their honeymoon years ago and also talked about other travels.  The husband and I shared a mutual conversation of Skyline being overrated and definitely a Cincinnati thing.  DON’T HATE ME!!!

I am exhausted.  Needless to say that one does not sleep very well on an airplane.  By the time I got to my plane at LAX and we were in the air for a bit I had been up for 24 hours.  The food on the plane to New Zealand was edible (dinner and breakfast) and I was able to watch a movie and couple of TV shows (Identity Thief, Big Bang Theory, New Girl).  I have yet to take any pictures other than of the clouds and sky while I was on the plane.  I don’t feel like digging through my bag for the camera each time.

Well, that’s all for now.

I’ll update you all when I get to where I’m going :-)
