GO CAVS!!!
I am not a huge sports fan. I don't like how much money and attention goes into sports. Not just in the US but even on the international level. Without fact checking I am pretty confident that from little kids to professionals we are in the billions dollar range as far as athletics so yea... Sport are just "eh" to me. That being said I was pretty happy to watch the last couple of minutes of Game 7 and watch Cleveland win. I was more happy for the fans than the team itself but happy none the less.
Daniel was at work while the game was on so he got to hear the score every now and then but didn't get to watch the game. He is a true fan and wouldn't allow himself to get too excited. He was very pessimistic and although he wanted the team to win and hoped the team won he tried to not get too excited. Of course he was very happy that they won and here they played the game again in the evening so he was able to watch it our Monday night since he missed it when it originally played. He wore his 1 Cavaliers' shirt that I bought him last year and we went out to eat to sort of celebrate. Then he was able to come home and watch the game.
We see most of our friends on Facebook have posted about the win and celebrations and he seems sort of bummed to be missing it all. Technology provides that sort of catch-22; good for staying in touch and getting info when you need it but then it also shows you what you're missing because life goes on without you when you're away.
After our celebratory dinner we got ice cream at the Baskin and Robin here and they had some interesting flavors... Do y'all have these flavors?
