Daniel and I were both raised in Christian families and in the church but beyond that we have committed our lives to following Christ. With that as our foundation we have our sights set on intimacy with God and strengthening our relationship. We have only been married about 19 months and have a lifetime to go but we're doing it. And we are doing it with the knowledge that we have warriors praying for us and friends and family praying with us as well as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Ephesians 6:18
"...praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints..."
God is faithful and has shown us both a lot in this marriage even in this short time. Prior to being married God revealed things to each of us individually and through other people. Since being married there was a period of time we had been apart more than together and that was a challenge and continues to be a challenge with adjusting. Now God has us together to the extent of knowing no one but one another in a new country. We know that he knows what he is doing even if we don't get it. Everything He does is with intention and purpose.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him-- a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
I cannot honestly say that we are both excited (I am!) but we are doing this together. We are trusting in God in all the areas of our lives and going on this faith walk without fear. Daniel originally was assigned to go alone but with prayer and going about things in an active way we were able to get me going too, which is best for our marriage. (Thanks for the prayers!) Even if I had not been able to go we know that God would have helped us through.
Joshua 1:8,9
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
We love you all and appreciate you all and look forward to sharing with you this new phase of life. Please remember to keep us in your prayers and let us know how we can be praying for you as well.
Lots of love,
Camille

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12
