So being the explorers that we are, the hubster and I have enjoyed some nice long scenic drives to some pretty gorgeous places out here. After an incident of losing a car key in the Arkansas River (true story Loves!) we camped out in Buena Vista for a night. I wish I had a picture that could have captured all of the stars that we saw that night. They were amazing! That is by far my favorite part about being outside of the city at night time on a clear night. Something I did not appreciate was the mice that were running around, occasionally caught scurrying from the light of our head flashlights. Never okay to see as far as I'm concerned! (YUCK!) Between the wind loudly blowing our tent all night (which slept 10 but only had the 2 of us in it) and the hard ground, it was not my favorite camping experience but what a pretty view we went to sleep to and woke up to. Plus I was with him so that was nice :-)
Enjoy the pics from our drive up Mt. Evans and our camping trip!

Driving up the mountain :-)
It was a really pretty drive... like, REALLY pretty!
As you can see we're pretty much at cloud level or getting there at this point...
At the top, about 14,200ft above sea level!
Wild animals make me smile, well some of them anyway. This sheep did.
It's posing for the picture!
I had to get a baby one! :-)
Summit Lake with beautiful blue skies.
Cutie taking pics ;-)
As we were leaving the clouds started rolling through so it was foggy on our way leaving from Mt Evans.
Just a view on our drive when leaving from camping :-)
It was like in the 80s where we were but obviously a bit colder when you're a 14er (the lingo I have picked up, it means a mountain that is over 14,000ft above sea level).
I thought this was cool. It's an old abandoned mining area and to the left is the housing...
Nature. Gotta love it!
That's all folks! See ya, miss ya, love ya.
