Hello there.
I am taking the time to just say that this year has been... interesting, to say the least. I made a decision to go on a faith walk with God and I have been blessed abundantly. I am grateful for the blessings and the only way that I can show my appreciation is to continue to trust God and not fall back on what I know. I will not pretend that the whole experience has been easy, fun and good times because it absolutely has not been, but all of it is worth the growth I'm experiencing.
On so many different levels of my life there have been significant changes. We all know that I went to Australia and that was an amazing, life altering experience. I grew a lot in my faith and I learned about myself and God. I met great people that I was able to speak Truth to and that I was challenged by along the way. I am still enjoying maintaining contact with a couple of them as they too are dealing with their lives. Some of them are still traveling and others, like me, are back in the real world.
Being able to see relationships that I sowed into in the past that are now displaying MAJOR growth has been amazing. That has honestly been the most encouraging thing to me this year! I am encouraged when other people seek me out for prayer, advice, and/or comfort. I genuinely enjoy being a blessing to others. I see that as the purpose of my life and I am trusting that God is happy with it. That being said I am hoping to use my gift and passion to help others outside of my friends and family. I am planning to continue pursuing my goal of becoming a therapist one day.
Right now I am looking for jobs that are not necessarily permanent but that are what I want to do. I believe that it is unethical to start a job and build up a professional relationships with clients knowing that I'd be leaving soon. I would like to work in a place such as a hospital where there are clients coming and going and where I can help during that crisis time, help with de-escalation, developing coping skills and life skills, then send that person on their way.
We shall see what comes of what I want and what I actually get at this point. Once I move to and am settled in Colorado I will look for something more permanent but until then...
