Of course some chuckle worthy things have happened since I've been here. Including but not limited to...
Today for example I was feeling especially relaxed and dainty. I have on clothes that I have not worn yet since being here and I slept 8 hours last night. You know, just a great start to the day. Well, I'm walking to the library and all of a sudden I feel cold moisture on my left forearm. I look down and see that my hand sanitizer top is off and I have sanitizer on my pants and shirt. Lovely! I laughed a bit at myself and just kept it moving as I tried to fix the problem. Let's just say I smell especially clean today :-)
Is this weird? I have had this conversation with other people (Leah N. stands out as one of the people). Have you ever been around other people with accents and all of a sudden developed an accent yourself? Like you unintentionally start up with an English accent or something? Well, I've on a few occasions now suddenly started to talk in an accent to say "excuse me" or "sorry." I have no idea why I do this but I do and then in my head question what I did. It's funny, totally unintentional and also sporadic. Love it!
Last night I hung out upstairs on the outside terrace with some roommates and other hostel residents. If you were wondering if drunk and high people from around the world act the same as those in the US, I can assure you that they do. Even 30 year old guys from Liverpool that are legit trying to hit on you, ewww no thanks! That is just a scene I do not understand and cannot appreciate.
From hanging out with them I did discover something interesting about Australia's cigarette packaging. Check this out, these are actually what the packages look like here!!! On the back it goes into more detail about each of the different diseases or whatever is related to the front topic.

Crazy right!?!
And as I was typing this here at the library some random man just asked me to model some of the stuff from his clothing line. (He's taking the pictures right now outside at the public library so chill out LOL.) I get $20 out of it so... I now know since completing the short shoot that his name is Dave Williams of Dave Williams Art (click here to go to the site) and he donates $5 from each sale to shark conservationists. From our brief encounter he seems like a really nice guy and it's for a good cause :-)
This has been a pretty interesting few days for the obvious reason that I'm in Australia but also because of these little things.
See ya, miss ya, love ya!
